Wifi CityNet is an Internet access service based on the wireless technology. Access points (hotspots) are available in Veliko Tarnovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa and Lyaskovets. In contrast to cable and fibre-optic services, the speed of wireless transmission is not guaranteed and is limited to 512 kbps, where the connection depends on the proximity to the access point (hotspot), as well as the WiFi network load at the specific moment.
Telnet recommends you to check if the coverage and the connection speed available at the desired location are satisfactory, before you purchase a prepaid card or activate your account. To test the connection you can use the free sites available in the portal http://wifi.telnet.bg.
The service is free for all subscribers of the Internet 200, Internet 500, Business Internet 100+, Business Internet 500, Business Internet Gigabit. They can use the user account authentication data to log in, therefore additional registration is not required. For all other customers the WiFi service is paid. They can use it after purchasing a prepaid card or recharging their account via ePay.
How to use access points to the Telnet WiFi service?
Scan for wireless networks, using the Windows tool or the tool installed on your wireless card. From the list of available networks, select www.telnet.bg (some cards will ask you whether you want to connect to a pubic network).
After you have successfully associated the network:
if the card is set up to receive automatic settings, your connection process is completed.
if the card settings are static, you must select the option to automatically receive them.
After you successfully connect to the access point, you can start your preferred browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, etc.) and open any page. The browser will be automatically redirected to the authorization page http://wifi.telnet.bg, where you must enter your username and password.

As of 01.11.2014 all subscribers of Telnet using the WiFi CityNet service can also use free WiFi service in Rousse, within the networks of Networx. Respectively, the Networx customers can use for free the public WiFi hotspots of Telnet in Veliko Tarnovo.
